Once a year, the Left Hand Agency team gathers for an in-person meeting. It's an invaluable opportunity for face-to-face time with our colleagues who are spread across four US time zones.
This year, we chose Chicago as our destination and had a jam-packed schedule of events! We had roundtable discussions on improving workflows and agency life. We had a scavenger hunt that saw our team stopping strangers on the street. We even did mock campaign planning activities that involved unicorn headbands!
Additionally, we had amazing presentations on:
Email Marketing
Programmatic OTT Fraud Prevention
Business Development
Negotiation Tactics
Agency Style Guidelines and Resources
Effective Communication
Spreadsheet Tips and Tricks
Social Media Industry Updates
Data Visualization
Content Writing
The biggest reason we get together once a year is to forge a strong bond and grow as a team. Our team activities were a huge highlight and included:
Welcome drinks at Three Dots and a Dash, AKA Tiki Heaven!
A night of team games at Game Night Out Chicago (Highly recommend!).
Putt Putt Golf at Big Mini Putt Club.
Chicago deep-dish taste-test from Lou Malnati's and Giordanos (Lou's was victorious, but it was very close).
We also shared some incredible meals in this culinary hotspot! Hard to pick a highlight but The Machine had incredible food and show-stopping drinks. The Purple Pig was a delight and capped our wonderful week.
This post could not go without mentioning the incredible hospitality we experienced at The Staypineapple Hotel in Chicago. The staff was warm, welcoming and helpful, the rooms were great and amenities were top-notch. Our team felt like VIPs!
It's a lot of work to get all this travel and activities booked, and I am indebted to Ryan Pitz and Sarah Williams for planning this for our team. Additionally, it's a lot of work for our team to travel this far and spend time away from friends and family. We are so grateful for the memories and all the great things we learned. I left the experience inspired and invigorated for the year ahead. Can't wait to see where 2024 takes us!
