Digital & Social Media Buyer Left Hand Agency is a full-service advertising agency located outside Portland, OR. We have an immediate opening for a digital & social media buyer to plan and execute digital and social campaigns across a variety of platforms. Left Hand has a growing roster of TV, entertainment, retail & non-profit clients. Working closely with the digital media director you will be responsible for creating, managing and reporting on digital media activations. Our key platforms are Facebook, Google Ads & a variety of programmatic demand-side-platforms. Prior experience purchasing social media is required, experience with buying Preroll & OTT is a plus. A successful candidate will be a strategic thinker who can dive into the analytics of digital campaigns to understand key performance indicators across a variety of metrics. The digital & social buyer will be responsible for managing multiple campaigns from ad creation, optimizations and final reporting. A meticulous attention to details is crucial along with a love for statistics. To be successful at this role you should be fluent in key digital & social terms like CPMs, reach & frequency. You should be able to quickly learn new platforms and troubleshoot issues that arise along the way. Bonus points for Google ad certification and/or Facebook blueprint course completions. Due to the nature of some clients the digital & social media buyer may occasionally be required to work non-traditional hours and respond quickly to last-minute client needs. Platforms used may include: Facebook, Google Ads, Twitter, LinkedIn, Roku Ad Manager, NextDoor Ads, Snapchat, TikTok, Spotify, Programmatic DSPs including Basis, Roku OneView, Amazon DSP, TradeDesk Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Presenting plans to clients & answering client questions

  • Setting up social media campaigns in Facebook Ads Manager

  • Setting up and maintaining ongoing Google PPC (or Bing) campaigns

  • Buying OTT, preroll, display & more on a variety of DSPs

  • Optimizing campaigns in flight to ensure strong delivery & performance

  • Providing post-campaign performance reports for clients

  • Reconciliation of campaigns for final billing

  • Ensuring smooth digital & social campaign execution from launch to finish

  • Forging strong relationships with vendors and support teams

  • Keeping client files secure & organized

  • Working with any Junior digital buyers to grow their skills & delegating appropriate tasks

  • Utilizing media coordinators to assist with administrative & planning needs

  • Helping clients understand complicated digital advertising concepts & measurement tools

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience as a digital media-buyer or junior digital media buyer

  • Experience with Facebook Ads Manager

  • Experience with Google PPC and other Google Ad Tools

  • Strong understanding of third party data, cookies, first party data

  • Understanding of fraud in the digital space and preventative measures

  • Interest in staying informed & ahead of advertising and media trends

  • Working knowledge of broad digital media terms like CPM, CPA, ROAS etc.

  • Methodical & meticulous approach to planning, building & optimizing

  • Strong multi-tasking skills with ability to react quickly to client needs

  • Ability to confidently discuss digital media strategy with clients

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • A self-starter who can manage their time as a remote worker
